Donation Refund Policy
Effective Date: January 1st, 2025
At Elise Sky Foundation, we are deeply grateful for the generosity of our donors. Your contributions directly support our mission to provide nutritious meals and essential programs for children in need. Because donations are critical to sustaining our work, we have established the following policy regarding refunds and cancellations of donations.
1. General Policy
All donations made to Elise Sky Foundation are considered final and non-refundable.
Donations are used immediately or allocated to specific child food program initiatives, which makes reversal of funds challenging once processed.
2. Exceptions for Refunds
Refunds may be granted under the following limited circumstances:
Duplicate Transactions: If a donor accidentally submits the same donation multiple times.
Processing Errors: If an error occurs with the donation amount due to a technical or human mistake.
Unauthorized Use: If a donation was made fraudulently or without the donor’s consent.
In such cases, refund requests must be submitted within 15 business days of the transaction date.
3. Recurring Donations
Donors who enroll in monthly or recurring donations may cancel future charges at any time.
To cancel, please contact us at least 5 business days before the next scheduled charge.
Payments already processed prior to cancellation are non-refundable, except in cases of duplicate or erroneous charges as described above.
4. Event or Campaign-Specific Donations
Donations made toward special campaigns, sponsorships, or fundraising events are generally non-refundable.
If an event is canceled or significantly altered, the foundation may, at its discretion, provide alternative options such as applying the funds to another initiative, rescheduling, or offering a refund.
5. Requesting a Refund
To request a refund, donors must provide:
Full name, donation date, and amount
Proof of payment (receipt, transaction ID, or bank statement)
Reason for the refund request

6. Processing of Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible.
Refunds may take 7–14 business days to appear depending on the financial institution.
7. Foundation’s Discretion
The foundation reserves the right to review and approve refund requests on a case-by-case basis. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
